HARLEYSVILLE, PA:  Celtic band, Burning Bridget Cleary, listed in Marc Gunn’s "Top 20” International Celtic Bands for 2014 – Appearing at Musikfest Café on March 14

Burning Bridget Cleary is included in the “Top 20” list of international Celtic bands for 2014 published by Marc Gunn, an award-winning podcaster nicknamed the “Celtfather.” In March, the SE Pennsylvania-based Burning Bridget Cleary begins their tenth year performing at Celtic and folk venues and festivals. Their reputation has expanded their travels to include performances all over the U.S.A. and in Ireland.

Band leader, Rose Baldino, comments on the recent announcement:

“What an honor!  It has been an incredible journey since 2006, when we got our first invitation to play at the Green Lane Scottish-Irish festival. We played five hours each day under a tiny gazebo at that festival, and we still have people come up to us at shows that remember seeing us for the first time on that weekend. We’re so thankful to all our fans, who continue to come out, and bring their friends and family to our performances.”

Burning Bridget Cleary is presently working on their fifth full-length CD, with a planned spring release.  Their latest single, “Another Day” was the #1 song on the Folk DJ Charts for October 2014. Their music is featured on hundreds of radio programs worldwide, including syndicated programs, Thistle and Shamrock, FolkScene, SingOut Radio, and The Midnight Special.

The Musikfest Café performance takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 7:30 PM. Piper’s Request band will open the show. Tickets are $10-$15 advance/$15 - $20 day of show. Cabaret seating is available.
